Automatic Weld Program Replication in Robot Offline Programming

In robotic welding, parts often include repeated or symmetric weld areas

When the weld zones are identical, the parameters, sequence, and strategy remain the same; only their spatial position in the robot cell changes.

This video demonstrates 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐃𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 in Almacam.

A reference welding program is created once on a part of an assembly, then 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 to other similar zones using geometric transformations (symmetry or linear translation).

The system recalculates positions and orientations while preserving:

  • weld parameters,
  • sequencing,
  • torch orientation logic.

Duplicated programs remain editable and independent.

Benefits:

-Reduced manual definition of repeated weld paths

-Improved consistency across identical welds

-Faster programming of part families and variants

-OLP workflow without occupying the robot cell
