Alma and Asco Data, following their recent union in Germany, will exhibit together at Blechexpo.

After Schweissen & Schneiden which was the first opportunity for Alma and Asco Data to exhibit together in Germany after the announcement of their union in June, the two companies will present their unified sheet metal CAD/CAM offering at the Blechexpo trade fair in Stuttgart.

The Schweissen & Schneiden trade fair is more focused on technologies for working on “thick” sheet metal (welding, cutting). It was held in September in Düsseldorf and gave Alma and Asco Data an opportunity to present their solutions for 2D/3D cutting (plasma, oxycutting, laser, etc.) and offline programming of welding robots. Blechexpo in Stuttgart from November 7 to 10 will enable the Alma-Asco group to exhibit its CAD/CAM know-how applied to sheet metal including “thin” sheet metal: optimization of cycle times and material use,  automated applications for flat laser cutting, punching-nibbling, punch/laser combination machines or aluminium routing, professional solutions for bending and unfolding, 5-axis laser cutting, laser welding, etc.

Almacam, is the new integrated platform that all the group’s products will eventually converge towards, and it will have pride of place on the stand. Almacam is designed to program every type of machine with maximum responsiveness. It enables a secured collaborative programming process to be implemented in an agile, open and open-ended environment.

Also not to be missed on the stand is a specially designed station that in just a few seconds enables visitors to test the performance of the Alma nesting algorithms integrated into the group’s software via the Powernest Demo 100% web application.
