Web applications, robotics, Industry 4.0… The CAD/CAM of the future will be on the Alma stand at the Global Industrie fair!

Alma, which has just celebrated its 40 years of activity in the field of production optimization, will present, at Global Industrie Paris, the latest innovations in CAD/CAM for 2D/3D cutting, sheet metal and robotics. In addition to the latest developments of its new generation Almacam software suite, a special focus will be on Alma’s web applications for cutting optimization and quotation for sheet metal.
The stand will be organized around four core business poles:
Sheet metal with Almacam Cut/Punch (2D cutting/Punching), Almacam Bend (Bending CAM), almaQuote (quotation for sheet metal) and SpaceClaimSMOPlus, the most intuitive direct-modeling CAD application for sheet metal and mechanical design which has been integrated into Almacam.
3D cutting/Tubes with Almacam Space Cut (CAD/CAM software for 5-axis cutting machines and cutting robots) and Almacam Tube (CAD/CAM software for cutting tubes and profiles), with, in particular, the latest new CAD features to easily modify the geometry of imported parts and assemblies (editing of imported models in order to meet specific manufacturing requirements, addition of connections between the tubes of an assembly, unfolding or unbending of imported tubes in a few clicks, etc.)
Offline programming of arc-welding robots with Almacam Weld enhanced with new functions to further reduce programming times, increase automation and improve the quality of the robot programs (program duplication, automatic detection of welding paths, circular welding, multiple layer welding, trajectory sensing, compliance with welding standards, etc.)
The fourth pole will be dedicated to Alma’s web application, a new business area in which Alma is resolutely investing to meet a growing demand of the industry. Visitors will able to try Nest&Cut, an online nesting application available in SaaS mode. Webquote will also be presented. This is an online quote request management portal, which prefigures future web services that will complement Alma’s software products.
